Brush your teeth – Postpone Alzheimer´s.  You don’t only avoid holes in your teeth by keeping good oral hygiene, researchers at the University of Bergen have discovered a clear connection between gum disease and Alzheimer´s disease.

Removing a lower third molar. Third molar extractions tend to be more complicated due to the location in the mouth and the angle the tooth is coming in. Also the proximity to the inferior alveolar nerve makes it more risky.

How a dental Implant is placed. Implants are replacements for missing teeth. Three parts are needed to replace a tooth using the implant method.

1-The Implant itself which is surgically placed and left to heal 3 months

2-The abutment. The piece that is screwed down onto the implant

3-The crown. The white porcelain piece that is visible in the mouth.

Implants are the best way to replace a tooth.

This is why toothaches can cause headaches. These are the nerves that are associated with the teeth.

Loss of vertical dimension of the face due to teeth loss. Implants can prevent this from happening. Implants prevent bone loss by stimulating bone preservation. Loosing teeth has many consequences. This is just one of them.

This is how root canals work. When a tooth's nerve or pulp dies due to trauma or caries infection a root canal is recommended. A root canal means removing the affected pulp and filling the canal it leaves behind with a filler material to prevent bacteria from growing in the space. Most of the time a crown is recommended after the root canal is finished to prevent the tooth from fracturing.
